Local Directions
By Car: Drive to Akaroa. Drive down the main street of shops through Akaroa, Rue Lavaud. This street becomes Beach Road. Turn left onto Rue Jolie. Follow signs to Ōnuku Marae, which is on Ōnuku Rd. See www.maps.google.co.nz for more help!
Shuttle Bus from Christchurch Central: Akaroa Shuttles cost $50 return and can pick up from various locations in Christchurch, including the information centre, at 8.30 and 2pm daily. They return from Akaroa at 10.30, 3.35 and 4.30. We can pick  you up and drop you off in Akaroa easily. Contact Akaroa Shuttles (0800 500 929) http://www.akaroashuttle.co.nz/ for more information or to make a reservation. Carpool: Please let us know if you can offer or need a ride. There will be plenty of cars leaving from Christchurch.

  1. Ōnuku Marae is approximately 80 minutes away from Christchurch just past Akaroa. We encourage carpooling. Let us know if you have a spare seat in your car or need a ride.
